Answer the Across and Down clues, placing one letter in each white square. The small numbers mark where answers begin. Black squares separate words. These small practice diagrams show the rules; your collection uses 7 × 7 grids.
Select a clue to highlight its answer squares. Across runs from left to right; Down runs from top to bottom. The number in brackets tells you how many letters you need. “Not cold (4)” gives WARM in the four highlighted squares.
Two answers that cross use the same square and the same letter. WARM and RAIN share A in this example. Filling the Across answer gives you a letter in the Down answer for free. If two guesses disagree at a crossing, revisit a clue.
Check letters underlines incorrect entries without replacing them. Hint letter fills the selected square with its correct letter, or finds the next unfinished square when the selected letter is already right. Keep using the clues and crossings to solve the rest.
A word that looks plausible still has to answer its clue. Finish all Across and Down answers with matching crossings to complete the grid. Easy has five answers, Medium six and Hard seven; every level contains 30 puzzles.
Every white square must contain its correct letter. The letter counter measures filled squares; it does not guarantee they are correct. The completion ticket appears when the entire grid is right.
Do not put a letter in a black square or treat a crossing as two separate squares. When an answer seems right but a crossing disagrees, check the meaning of both clues.
Type on a physical keyboard or use the letter buttons below the board. The cursor advances along the selected answer. Arrow keys move between squares; Backspace erases and can step back through the answer. Select another clue to change direction, or press Space at a crossing to switch to its other answer.
Every puzzle is open from the start. Switching puzzles keeps your accepted answers, and Restart clears only the current attempt after confirmation. Your solved record remains. Progress stays in this browser; clearing site data removes it, and another device or browser has its own notebook.
